This Privacy Policy explains how Sdach Ouk (ស្ដេចអុក), a traditional Khmer Chess game, developed by Nuon Veyo ("we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and deletes information about you. It covers:
the web game at sdachouk.com/play, the same game played in a browser.
Together we call them the "Services". By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
Account and profile: your display name, and optional profile details you choose to add. You can play as a guest without giving any personal details.
Sign-in with Google or Apple: if you choose to sign in or link an account, we receive an identifier for your Google or Apple account, and your name and profile photo where the provider shares them. With Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name only the first time you sign in. We do not receive or store your password or your email address.
Telegram: if you open the game from our Telegram bot (as a Telegram Mini App), Telegram shares your Telegram user ID, name, username, profile photo and language with the game, and we use them to sign you in and set up your profile. We do not receive your phone number or your Telegram messages.
Messages: the private messages you send to other players and the messages you send in game chat.
Reports and blocks: when you report a player or a message, the reason, any details you write, and a copy of the reported message; and the list of players you block.
Emails to us: if you email us, your email address and what you write, to answer you.
Information created when you use the Services
Game data: your 9-digit player ID, rooms you create or join, moves, game results, statistics and history, coins and coin transactions, themes and effects you unlock, favorite players, notifications and online status.
Device information: a device identifier generated by the App or web game, your push notification token, platform (Android, iOS or web browser) and app language, used to deliver notifications to the right device.
Advertising identifier: your device's advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS when you allow tracking), used by Google AdMob as described in section 3.
Cookies and browser storage: on the Website and in the web game, as described in section 4 and section 5.
Technical data: like any internet service, our servers and service providers receive your IP address and basic request information (such as browser or device type and the time of the request) when you use the Services.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos from your device, or payment card details. The Services have no in-app purchases; coins are earned in the game and have no real-money value.
2. How we use information
To provide the game: create and keep your account, run online matches, rooms, chat, favorites, statistics and history.
To send push notifications you can turn off, such as join requests, game updates, messages and announcements.
To show ads in the App and on the Website, and to reward you with coins for watching rewarded ads (verified with Google).
To keep the community safe: review reports, enforce blocks, and act against cheating, abuse or accounts that break our rules.
To keep the Services working and secure, fix problems, and configure features remotely.
To answer your emails and requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Advertising in the App (Google AdMob)
The App shows ads (banner, interstitial and rewarded ads) through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Google and its advertising partners are third-party vendors that may use your device's advertising identifier, and similar technologies, to serve ads, to personalize ads based on your use of this and other apps and websites, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud.
Information AdMob may collect includes your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. Google's use of this information is governed by Google's policies:
iPhone and iPad: the App asks for your permission before it uses your advertising identifier (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you don't allow tracking, you will still see ads, but they won't be personalized using that identifier.
Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
Google ad settings: you can manage how Google personalizes ads at myadcenter.google.com.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: where required by law, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
4. The Website, the web game and cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (such as local storage) works in a similar way.
The Website (sdachouk.com) is an information page about the game. We do not use our own cookies on it. It loads Google AdSense, which may set cookies as described in section 5.
The web game (sdachouk.com/play) stores your sign-in session, a device identifier, and your settings (such as language and board style) in your browser's storage. This is needed for the game to work and stays in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data for sdachouk.com signs you out; for a guest account, this makes the account inaccessible, as logging out does (see section 9).
Sign in with Google in the web game uses Google's sign-in service, which may set Google's own cookies under Google's Privacy Policy.
Browser notifications: if you allow notifications in the web game, your browser and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) provide a push token that we store with your account to send you notifications. You can turn them off in your browser's site settings at any time.
Hosting: the Website and web game are hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which receives your IP address and browser information to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
The web game does not show ads.
5. Advertising on the Website (Google AdSense)
The Website uses Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC, to show ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this website and/or other sites on the Internet.
If ads on the Website are not personalized, Google may still use cookies to show non-personalized ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ads, and prevent fraud.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Website asks for your consent, using a consent message provided by Google, before cookies are used to personalize ads. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy and cookie settings link the message provides, or by clearing your browser's cookies for sdachouk.com.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you do, ads may become less relevant, and some features may not work.
6. Who can see or receive your information
Other players
Other players can see your display name, profile photo, player ID, online status, the rooms you host, your game statistics and history, and the messages you send them or send in a game's chat. Spectators can watch public games.
Service providers
We share information only as needed to run the Services, with providers that process it on our behalf or under their own policies:

Legal reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our players, the Services or others.
7. Chat, reporting and blocking
Please don't share personal information (such as your phone number or address) in chat. You can:
Report a player from their profile or a chat, or report a message by long-pressing it. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break our rules.
Block a player. You won't be able to message each other or join each other's rooms, you won't see each other in player lists, and their game chat messages are hidden from you. They are not told. You can unblock players in Settings → Account → Blocked players.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. Guest accounts work the same way. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your information as described in section 9. Cookies set by Google AdSense last for the periods Google sets, unless you delete them sooner. We may keep limited records for longer where needed to handle reports and abuse, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
9. How to delete your account and data
In the App or web game: open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. If you are in a game that is being played, finish or resign it first.
Without the App: email nuonveyo.stu@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion" and your 9-digit player ID (shown on your profile) or display name. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.
When an account is deleted:
Your name, profile photo, optional profile details, and Google, Apple or Telegram sign-in link are erased. For Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the App's access to your Apple ID.
Your devices and push tokens, favorites, blocks, private conversations, notifications, themes and rooms are removed, and you can no longer be found or contacted in the Services.
Your coins are lost and can't be restored.
Finished games stay in other players' history, without your name.
Reports you made or that were made about you may be kept, as described in section 8.
Deletion can't be undone. Signing in again with the same Google, Apple or Telegram account later creates a new, empty account. Logging out of a guest account also makes that account permanently inaccessible; to have its data deleted, use the in-app option before logging out, or email us.
10. Your choices and rights
Change your display name in your profile at any time.
Turn push notifications off in the App's settings, your device settings, or your browser's site settings.
Manage ad tracking and personalization in the App as described in section 3, and on the Website as described in section 5.
Block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us at the email below. We will respond within the time required by law.
11. Children
The Services are a general-audience game and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security and where data is stored
All connections between the Services and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/WSS). Access to our servers and databases is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information. Our servers and our service providers may store and process information in countries other than your own, including Cambodia and the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services change. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
